If anyone in your group has a nut allergy, here’s how our team at Merla-Mae Ice Cream in London, Ontario handles your order when you let us know.
Our allergy practices
Nut allergy? Tell us first
If you or anyone in your group have a serious nut allergy we cannot guarantee safety, however, when notified we will sanitize the work area before use and be as careful as possible.
When notified of allergies, our team will re-sanitize the work area including countertops, ice cream scoopers, ice cream machine nozzles, and related to prepare your order. When available, for hard scoop orders, we try to open a new tub of ice cream to scoop your allergen-safe ice cream. This way we can further limit cross-nut contamination as the same ice cream scoopers are used across multiple flavors.
